Ways to tackle Bad Breath in a Minute!

Bad-Breath-in-a-Minute

Has someone crossed your path who breathed so bad that you just wished you wouldn’t have met? Do you recall the morning when you woke up smelling irky in your mouth? Well, that not-so-pleasant breath can be quickly fixed in a minute right from the comfort of your home.

Ways to quickly fix bad breath at home

  1. Poor oral hygiene

Our mouth is no less than a trap that gives room to food particles. This trapped food becomes a breeding ground for bacterial build-up. This process has resulted in sulphur production within the mouth which gives out a foul smell. Moreover, the bacteria usually bind together and form a sticky plaque-like substance on your teeth that simply gets intensified to give out more smell. Hence, it is important to keep up the oral hygiene at par.

  • Dehydration

A dehydrated mouth fails to produce enough saliva in the mouth that ideally works as a self-cleanser. Hence, to keep the saliva doing its work around the clock, it is important to constantly keep your mouth fresh and energized with enough water. This healthy habit of staying hydrated helps produce enough saliva that works round the clock to fight off bacteria.

  • Food and drink choices

Consuming too much onion, garlic, or certain spices can trigger sulphur production in the mouth while leaving a foul breath in the mouth. Further consuming alcohol or coffee can further leave your body dehydrated while ruining oral hygiene.

  • Skipping meals

We all know skipping meals is not a good sign for the body. It certainly leads to bacterial build-up in the mouth by abstaining from saliva production.

Home Remedies for Bad Breath

  • Flossing is the best way to effectively eliminate trapped food particles from the teeth and corners of the mouth that your brush can’t reach.
  • All those candies and donuts have got your heart? Well, it’s nothing but a bacteria triggering habit. Snacking on sweet delight leads to producing bacteria and releasing acids that cause bad breath.
  • Consume garlic, onion, and caffeinated drinks in limited amounts. These are breath-offensive foods that can trigger bad breath quickly. If you have consumed it in smaller quantities, ensure to chew a mint and brush your teeth before going to bed.
  • We all know you don’t like visiting the dentist for regular sessions. But trust us, it’s going to be all worth it! Ensure to see your dentist for a dental cleaning (every once in six months) for a shiny, white, and healthier mouth.
  • Rinse your mouth effectively with an anti-bacterial and antiseptic mouthwash to get rid of plaque and bad breath.
  • Ensure to clean your tongue every day. The tongue is the easiest target for bacterial build-up. Regularly cleansing your tongue helps prevent bacterial build-up and eliminate bad breath.
