Excellent Home Remedies for Enlarged Pores

Our facial skin and those pores on them are non-separable. Although, its existence is essential to enable the skin to breathe and produce natural oil (sebum). Everyone has it, the only difference is some have tiny pores while some have oversized pores that are widely visible. It is a panic situation when the pores have enlarged and are covered with unpleasant black or white heads over it.

If you are thinking of exiling them forever, then that’s not probably happening because they are there for a reason. However, with a proper skincare routine, you can reduce its size, unclog regularly and reduce visibility.

Reasons for Enlarged Pores

  • Ageing

The inevitable ageing can make your skin lose its elasticity, saggy, and stretched while making those pores appear enlarged. Although it is a part of the ageing process, enlarged pores need to be treated with the right skincare routine.

  • Oily Skin

Excessive sebum production is the most common reason for enlarged pores among those who have oily skin. These pores filled with sebum tend to act like a natural moisturizer, but excess sebum makes these pores evident.

  • Genetics

Pore sizes are sometimes determined by genetics or hormonal changes. For those who have their parents affected with enlarged pores, there is a chance of developing them in the future. Some of the hormonal changes in the body like menstruation, pregnancy, and puberty can also trigger the enlargement of pores.

  • Sun Exposure

Exposed facial skin to a humid climate or sun rays for a prolonged time can tend to the reduction in skin tissues while stretching those tiny pores. Moreover, sun exposure can destroy the collagen of your skin, leading to evident wrinkles and larger pores.

  • Hair

Having thick hair follicles over the facial skin with excess accumulation of oil can cause enlarged pores. Pores are usually the opening of those hair follicles that get enlarging with the dropping hydration level of the skin.
